  If its the same as harmony, materni21, etc., then its very accurate for gender. Like 98%.

  I didn’t tell anybody how to comment. I don’t need to be bashed and scolded for asking a question. I posted something similar the other day and somebody tried me. Again if it’s irrelevant to the question just keep scrolling. I don’t have time for arguing and none sense. We’re not children here thanks✌️

  Thanks. I read a few bad stories about getting girl results and it turns out to be boy. I know it goes by fetal fraction but I’m not even sure they provide that on the results.

  Those tests are between 98-99% accurate for fetal sex, and the last study I saw had Panorama being the most sensitive. But it wasn’t a brand new study so that may have changed.🤷‍♀️

  Well, everything has its negatives and there is room for error in all tests Just wait to announce until its confirmed at the anatomy scan if youre concerned about it being wrong.

  Those tests are very accurate. However, they are more accurate for a boy, then for a girl. (That’s what my dr told me anyway) They’re like 99% accurate for boy and like 89% (or something close to that) for a girl. Reason being, when they draw your blood (which also contains your baby’s blood) if they find “Y” chromosones then you’re having a boy, b/c there’s no reason why a female would have Y chromosones otherwise. (We have X chromosones) They lessen the accuracy of the “its a girl” results, b/c, depending on the amount of baby’s blood they get with the blood they take from you, that volume of baby’s blood could be a small amount and that particular sample may not contain a Y chromosone, as they are mixed together with X chromosones to make up a boy. If you were to do another blood test and get a different sample of baby’s blood, that sample may contain the Y chromosone. It’s kind of like putting a bunch of red marbles into a bag (representing X chromosones) and dropping some black marbles into that same bag (Y chromosones) and mixing it up. When you reach in and grab a handful, you’re certain to get the red marbles (X), but you may, or may not get a black one (Y), even though they’re present in the bag. Does that make sense? That’s why you hear horror stories of being told it’s a girl, but it’s actually a boy. You don’t hear stories of inaccurate boy results, typically. With that, even the “girl” results are pretty accurate and those horror stories of being told wrong are not the norm.

  That’s the best explanation I’ve heard thank u and yes it makes a lot of sense either way now I’m nervous lol especially if I get a girl result either way as long as baby is healthy and thriving mamas happy

  Like PP said they are USUALLY very accurate. One of the guys from Florida Georgia Line thought his wife was pregnant with a boy due to the blood test, just to find out baby was actually a girl at the anatomy scan. So errors can happen.
